The Detroit College Access Network (DCAN) is a collaborative network between local schools, organizations, and the community. Our mission is to promote higher education and make a college degree or credential a reality for students in Detroit.
As part of the Detroit College Access Network (DCAN) portfolio of initiatives, Graduate 313, our newest effort supporting learners from middle school through adulthood will open its first community hub inside Dream Studio Detroit.
The hub will offer a welcoming space where students and families can access college, career, and financial aid support right in their neighborhood. This work is powered by the Jamie and Denise Jacob Family Foundation, with additional support from the Rocket Community Fund and seed funding from the GM Foundation.

- Awarded $40,000 in professional development mini-grants to women leaders
- Develop strong partnerships with Detroit Free Press, Bamboo Detroit, and Metro Parent to elevate women’s voices and provide space for events
- A well-known source to both hire and be hired through the virtual Network of women leaders
- A source of inspiration, hope and support for women leaders in all stages of their career
- A safe space for women to share sensitive topics and receive support and advice from women leaders in all stages of their careers
- Host an annual summit, small business fair, workshops
- Launch an annual paid membership platform to support operations and the mini-grant program with 100+ paying members to date
- Paid memberships that include exclusive discounts & services through DWLN partners
- Published a digital women’s magazine in partnership with Detour Detroit with content curated and authored by women leaders – The Blend (This publication will be revived in 2025)
