The Detroit Women’s Leadership Network (DWLN) is a diverse intersection of women who reside, work or serve in the Detroit area, committed to producing meaningful change in the region. DWLN celebrates the feminine aspects of leadership as an instrument for transformation and supports uncommon collaborations that make positive contributions to our community. The Network was founded in 2014 after North was on maternity leave with her second child and read “Lean In.” North was inspired by the book, to create an equitable, diverse, and impactul network of women who could support each other through their careers and life. This organic, locally grown network has become a sought-after resource and collective of reliable, and supportive women leaders.
